 Dr. Ernest Reed

As the Director, Category Management Support Office (CMSO), Dr. Reed leads initiatives in support of Category Managers, Acquisition Professionals, and Program Managers in the acquisition of goods and services using the tenets of Category Management, including improved Vendor and Demand Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Data Analysis and Sharing, to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership possible while leveraging every dollar spent for the good of the Veteran.

Dr. Reed is originally from New Hampshire but makes his home with his wife in Fredericksburg Virginia.  Dr. Reed has had a range of professional positions to include being a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, a short period of entrepreneurship when he owned his own restaurant, and as an executive in several non-profit organizations.
